Blues Jam to benefit food pantries

A “Big Blues Jam” will be held at the Knights of Columbus Prince of Peace Council 6593 hall in Roscommon Oct. 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. The jam session will feature many area musicians performing rhythm and blues music, including Rockabilly Hall of Fame members, the Skee Brothers.

Council 6593 Grand Knight Glenn Stuart, who is also a blues organist, said blues musicians from all over the state and the region are expected to show up at the event.

Food and beverages will be available for a minimal charge, and people may bring their own beverages as well. Admission is free, and any cash donations will go to support food pantries in Roscommon and Crawford counties this Thanksgiving.
