Driver hits two utility poles, stop sign in accident
The Roscommon County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident on Nov. 19 at 11:24 p.m. on West Houghton Lake Drive near the intersection of Beverly Drive.
Sheriff Randy Stevenson said the accident was caused by a “case of careless driving” in a Nov. 22 telephone interview.
The driver, Michael J. Goodrich, 27, of Lake City was traveling eastbound on W. Houghton Lake Dr. when he crossed three lanes of traffic and struck two utility poles and a stop sign with a 2000 Ford Ranger.
Goodrich was cited for driving with a suspended license. Stevenson said Goodrich should not have been driving in the first place.
