Morley graduates from ‘best practices’ management program at SVSU


Kim Morley Kim Morley Saginaw Valley State University’s Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development announced last week the completion of the Nonprofit “Best Practices” Certificate program for Fall 2011.

Kim Morley of Roscommon, CEO of Michigan Health Information Alliance, was among the 12 graduates who successfully completed the requirements of the program and will be presented with a certificate of completion.

The Nonprofit “Best Practices” Management Certification program, made possible by United Way of Saginaw, is for upper level employees and management from nonprofit organizations. The program provided participants with tools, techniques and industry information to help them overcome the challenges in the nonprofit world today.

Instructors from the nonprofit sector lead students through 36 classroom hours and workshops. The content covered leadership, evaluation, governance, strategic alliances, financial management, information technology, fund development, human resources, advocacy, public policy and grant writing.
