Trestle Park bricks for sale at Denton Township

In preparation for the new Trestle Park to be located in Denton Township on the south shore of Houghton Lake, personalized bricks are being offered for purchase.

The township board approved the sale of the personalized bricks last September. Construction of the park is expected to begin this spring.

The 12 by 12-inch bricks may be etched with the name of a family or business and can be engraved with personalized messages such as “In memory of.”

The park will feature a railroad theme because the train trestle in the late 1800’s ran along the park property into Houghton Lake. A walkway will be incorporated into the park design intended to look like railroad tracks.

Bricks will cost $25 each and become a permanent part of Trestle Park. The engraving includes up to 12 to 13 letters on each of three lines.

Order forms are available at the township office. For information call 366-5913.
