CLEARING FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE

Markey Township Fire Chief Mike Stearns clears the driveway at the fire hall Monday morning after the area received six inches of snow the night before. Stearns was clearing the path for the township’s fire and EMS vehicles, in case an emergency arose. The area received more snow Tuesday and cooler temperatures predicted for the rest of the week should provide plenty of snow for visitors during the first weekend of Tip-up Town 2012.
