EXPERT AWARD WINNERS



Houghton Lake Middle School students (left to right) Chase and Hunter Wood were awarded the National Rifle Association Distinguished Expert Award at the monthly meeting of the Houghton Lake Sportsman’s Club (HLSC) Jan. 9. Members of the HLSC NRA Junior Rifle Club for the past year and a half, the brothers both passed a six phase NRA marksmanship qualification program. They were awarded a gold medal, gold pin, arm brassard, and a letter of congratulations from the vice president of the NRA.
