83rd District Court

Judge Daniel L. Sutton recently arraigned the following in 83rd District Court:

Larry S. Lee, 45, St. Helen, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to impaired driving, third offense (amended from driving while intoxicated, third offense). Richfield Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was Feb. 7. Bond was set at $5,000. Lee will be sentenced in Circuit Court.

Dallas S.L. Werner, 32, Eastpointe, waived preliminary examination and was bound over to Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to attempted second degree home invasion. Dismissed were charges of possession of burglar’s tools and malicious destruction of property. Richfield Township Police made the arrest. The date of offense was Jan. 20. Bond was set at $100,000. Werner will be sentenced in Circuit Court.

Daniel D. Peer, 39, Roscommon, demanded preliminary examination on a charge of animal cruelty of four to 10 animals. Roscommon County Animal Control filed the charge. The date of offense was Feb. 6. Bond was set at $2,000.

The following were sentenced after pleading guilty to charges filed against them:

Jamie L. Ripke, 40, Houghton Lake, driving while intoxicated: Seven days in jail (credit for one day), $1,055 in fines, costs or restitution, 12 months restitution and the conviction was reported to the Secretary of State.

Jamie L. Stardevant, 38, Houghton Lake, assault and battery: 45 days in jail with credit for 45 days.

Ronald K. Hillier, 50, St. Helen, assault and battery: $585 in fines, costs or restitution.

Bethany A. Culver, 35, Prudenville, third degree retail fraud: 30 days in jail (credit for 30 days).
