Richfield Library hosting food drive in March

The Richfield Township Library is sponsoring a canned food drive for the community during the month of March.

Patrons who bring in nonperishable food items or cash donations will have all fines paid by the library.

All items will be donated to local food banks. Expired foods will not be accepted.

Other service projects the library was able to complete was the collection of 75 valentines for the Veterans Administration of Saginaw during the month of February for “Love Your Library” month.

Also during the month of February, the library gave free books during an open house. Weekly prizes were also given.

The library has several new books on the shelves and is now in the process of growing its DVD collection. Donations of DVDs and books are always accepted.

The library’s hours are Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

For information on library events or materials call 389-7630.
