Jessica Herman and Matthew Boals Jessica Mae Herman, daughter of Mark and Donna Herman of Brighton, and Matthew Daniel Boals, son of Kurt and Tresa Boals of Prudenville and Mary Boals of Prudenville, announce their engagement to be married.

The bride-elect graduated from Brighton High School in 2006 and from Central Michigan University in December, 2010. She works at Dow Chemical in Midland.

The groom-elect graduated from Houghton Lake High School in 2006 and from Central Michigan University in December, 2010. He also works at Dow Chemical in Midland.

The couple plans to wed Sept. 22, 2012, in Au Gres, with a reception to follow in Bay City.
