EIGHTH GRADE HONORS

On May 15, an Honors Luncheon was held at Mid Michigan Community College, Harrison, to recognize area eighth grade honors students from school districts within the college’s Area 7. Each recipient was awarded a $250 scholarship to Mid Michigan Community College for any college class from now until they graduate from high school. The award is presented to four eighth graders at each school with the top grade point averages, but Houghton Lake High School had more than four qualify. The students submitted essays that were judged by a committee at HLHS to determine the final four.
