17 swans
For three mornings, Pat Marra who lives at 10672 West Shore Drive was able to have his morning coffee while viewing 17 swans. Marra said the swans first appeared on May 29 and have been swimming near the shore since. He believes the flock is feeding on vegetation near the shore. He added a flock of Canadian geese have been mingling with the swans and he and his family have had the opportunity to view three families with several goslings. “I’ve been here since the 1950’s and I’ve never seen that many [swans] here,” Marra said. “I’ve enjoyed having them.” (Courtesy photo)
