The 2012 Homecoming theme is a “Haunted Homecoming” and features a different dress up day for each day of the week.

Spirit Week dress up days began on Monday, Oct. 2 with “comfy cozy and hunter/prey” day. Tuesday was “class color/TV show” day and “Halloween/ neon” day was Wednesday. Today (Thursday) is “jersey/fashion disaster” day. The week will wrap up with “blue and gold, hat and sunglasses” day on Friday.

Other Spirit Week events included the “ladies playground showdown” on Oct. 2. The showdown pitted the senior and junior girls against each other in a playground style dodgeball battle, with the seniors coming away victors.

The winners of the Spirit Jug will be determined on Friday at the pep assembly which is slated to take place at 1:30 p.m. The assembly will feature “crazy games” pitting students against one another in a battle for the jug.

The Homecoming festivities will continue with the annual Homecoming parade scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Friday evening. The parade will start behind Glen’s and make its way to the VFW Hall.

Spirit Week will close with the Homecoming Dance which will take place at the high school from 8-11 p.m. on Oct. 6.

Reigning 2011 Homecoming King Josh Smock and Queen Ashley Becker will crown the new royalty during the Homecoming football game half-time. The game will begin at 7 p.m.
