Vanna L’Nara Ward

Vanna L’Nara Ward, 71, Higgins Lake, died Nov. 23, 2012 at her home.

A funeral service was held Nov. 27 at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon with Pastor David E. Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Township Cemetery, Grayling.

Born July 16, 1941 in Lansing, she was the daughter of Van Ransom and Louise Eleanore (Davis) Davis. She had lived at Higgins Lake for seven years and Grayling for 24 years coming from Leslie. She married Jerry Grant Ward on Aug. 10, 1963 in Leslie and he preceded her in death in 1981. She was a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn of Grayling for seven years, housekeeper at Mercy Hospital

Grayling for 11 years and a production worker at Springs Window Fashions for eight years. She was a member of the Roscommon Genealogy Society and loved computers.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Louise Ward and sister, Delores Dixon.

Surviving are her children, Bruce Ward of Higgins Lake and Denise Ward of Wellington, FL; five grandchildren, Amber Rushton, James Ward and Zachary, Wesley and Spencer Rasmusson and brother, Ransom Davis of Orlando, FL.

Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled the arrangements.
