‘Black out’ planned for girls basketball game

Houghton Lake High School Athletic Director Maureen Whidden announced at Tuesday night’s meet the team event, that tomorrow’s (Friday) girls basketball game will feature a “black out.”

The idea behind a “black out” is that all fans in attendance wear black to support the Bobcat basketball teams. The event is the first “theme night” of the year that the HLHS Sportsmanship Committee has planned.

The JV game between the Bobcats and Pioneers is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. while the varsity game will follow at 7:30 p.m.
