Lucille F. Schriner

Lucille F. Schriner, 98, Houghton Lake Heights, died Dec. 8, 2012, at King Nursing & Rehabilitation Community.

A service is planned for Thursday, Dec. 13, at noon at Acacia Park Cemetery, 31300 Southfield Rd., Beverly Hills. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.

She was born July 5, 1914, in Painesdale to Henry and Beatrice (James) Faull. She and Theodore Schriner were united in marriage Nov. 14, 1942, in Highland Park. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 9, 1962.

She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Highland Park Board of Education for many year before retiring and moving from Redford to the Houghton Lake area in 1978. She was an active member of Houghton Lake United Methodist Church.

Her family members expressed their appreciation to the King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community staff who gave her excellent care for the past two and a half years.

Besides her husband, those predeceased were her father, Henry Faull; mother, Beatrice Faull; brother, Hank Faull; three sisters, Frieda Hurst, Lynn Davey and Enid Barnecut.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Joy Schriner of Houghton Lake Heights; and special nieces and nephews, Jim and Pat Davey, Doug and Laura Faull and Bill and Jeanne Vincent.
