MORNING CRASH INJURES TWO



Emergency workers from Gerrish, Markey and Denton townships, Roscommon County and the State Police tend to the aftermath of a crash which occurred on County Road 100 just north of County Road 103 in Gerrish Township on the morning of Jan. 22. According to a press release from the Gerrish Township Police Department, the crash involved a red Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by James McCully, 73, Roscommon, who was traveling northbound when he lost control on the slippery roads and collided head-on with a white Ford Explorer driven by Pamela Reicks, 61, Roscommon, who was heading southbound. The crash happened at approximately 8:20 a.m. Both subjects were transported to Grayling Mercy Hospital by ambulance and subsequently transferred to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. According to an update on Jan. 23 by Gerrish Police Sergeant Greg Patchin, both accident victims remained at Munson hospital, Reicks listed in stable condition and McCully in critical but stable condition.
