MARINE CORPS LEAGUE DONATES $500 TO COUNTY MEMORIAL

Members of the Houghton Lake Marine Corps League presented Roscommon County Board of Commissioners Vice-Chair Marc Milburn (second from left), who is also the Marine Corps League Vice Commandant, with a $500 check on July 18. The check was donated to go toward the rededication of the 1913 memorial located on the lawn of the Roscommon County Building. The plaque which will be purchased with the money will be affixed to the monument to memorialize those who have served from 1913 to the present. Pictured are Marine Corps League Auxiliary Representative Barb Pyle, Milburn, Marine Corps League Paymaster Mel Ward and Commandant Jim Bowman. Those who wish to make a donation to the rededication are asked to make checks payable to the Roscommon County Controller.
