Houghton Lake High School junior Cameron Fulco, 17, joined the Michigan National Guard Jan. 12 in Lansing. He will attend boot camp this June and then return to HLHS to complete his senior year. After graduation, Fulco plans to attend Northern Michigan University to pur­sue a degree in criminal justice and military science. In the MNG, Fulco will serve as an automated logistical specialist. An honor roll student, Fulco has been a member of the Bobcats’ football, wrestling, basketball and track teams, been involved in drama and serves as an announcer at home basketball games. He also works as a server at Mikey’s Restau­rant, Houghton Lake. He is the son of Scott and Chris Fulco of Hough­ton Lake and De Anna Fulco and Dan Peck of Chattanooga, TN. (RP)
