Robert L. Bobinac

Robert L. Bobinac, 75, Higgins Lake, died March 12, 2017, at Munson Medi­cal Center, Traverse City.

Cremation has taken place. A Cel­ebration of Life service will be held in the spring.

Born June 24, 1941, in Dearborn, he was the son of Steven and Kathryn (Barbero) Bobinac. He graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn and later attended Lawrence Technological University in Southfield where he earned his engineering degree. He worked as an executive engineer for Chrysler before retiring and moving to Higgins Lake.

He married Pamela Kreutziger April 19, 1994, in Sun City, AZ. He was a lifetime member of the Michigan Snow­mobile Association, the founder of the “Heart of the Snowmobile Club,” member of the St. Helen SnowPackers, Rosco-Higgins Snow Cruisers, the Wa­terford

Snomads, Michigan Boxer Club and Doberman Pinscher Club. He en­joyed snowmobiling and custom wood­working, where he made custom pens and jewelry.

Preceding him in death were his par­ents; brother, Ron; and one child.

Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Pamela Bobinac of Higgins Lake; daughters, Kim (Jeff) Branch of White Lake, Dawn (Jim) Guthard of Livonia, Cheryl Baker of Dearborn Heights; step­daughters, Shannon (Loyd) Danner of Roscommon and Kelly (Jeremy) Hill of Marlette; grandchildren, Brook, Nicole, Whitney, Garrett, Brent, Amanda, Mi­chael, Kaitlyn, Caleb, Taylor, Carissa, Rachel, Emma and Landon; eight great- grandchildren; and brother, Rick (Cathy) Bobinac of Fenton.

Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel, handled the arrangements.
