Following a May 10 regular meeting, the Roscommon County Board of Commissioners, along with several other county employees, boarded a Roscommon County Transit Authority bus to tour the Houghton Lake, Higgins Lake and Lake St. Helen lake level control structures. (Above, from left) Commissioner Marc Milburn (District 4), Board Secretary Alisha Pastell, Commissioner David Russo (District 1), Chairman Bob Schneider (District 3) Clerk Michelle Stevenson and Vice Chair Ken Melvin (District 2) all look over the Houghton Lake lake level control structure. Russo, who oversees the Houghton Lake lake level control structure, also wanted those on the tour to see the Lansing Road Cut River Bridge and take note of the amount of fishing and other recreation that happens in the area.
