(M-55), Houghton Lake. Both classes will start in October (while dance classes start in September) and will be part of the dance recital, usually held the weekend before Memorial Day. Fornusek, a graduate of Ovid-Elsie High School and Central Michigan University, took dance and tumbling for 12 years and then coached tumbling for 12 years. She also worked for a cheerleading company, Champion Cheer, for two summers. She is a former coach of the Houghton Lake Bobcats varsity cheerleading team and currently teaches sixth grade language arts at Houghton Lake Middle School. Students will be required to have a free standing backbend and a cartwheel to take Fornusek’s advanced gymnastics class. Call the studio at (989) 329-2059 for information.
