Houghton Lake Kiwanis Club member Dale Ernst recently delivered dictionaries to county school districts as part of the Kiwanis Dictionary Project. (Above) The Roscommon-Higgins Lake Lions Club purchased the dictionaries for Roscommon Elementary School third graders. The 84 RES dictionaries were accepted by (left to right) Principal Katie Fuelling, third grade teacher Ronda Hutek and Secretary Maria Sinnaeve. (Below) The 101 dictionaries for Collins Elementary third graders, which were accepted by Secretary Colleen Goodwin, were purchased by the Houghton Lake Kiwanis Club. The Houghton Lake Kiwanis Club also purchased 16 dictionaries for Our Lady of the Lake Regional Catholic School and Dr. Michael Ritchie purchased eight dictionaries for Immanuel Baptist School. The St. Helen Optimist Club purchased 50 dictionaries for Charlton Heston Academy third graders. The CHA dictionaries were accepted by CHA staff members Maria VanFossen, Krystal LaPorte and Jordyn Williams.
