‘Pay Yourself First’ seminar planned at KCC West Branch

Mercantile Bank and Kirtland Com­munity College Community Education will present a simple, free one-hour sem­inar Oct. 26 to help participants identify ways to set and meet savings goals to make their lives more worry-free.

The “Pay Yourself First” event will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at KCC, West Branch.

West Branch Mercantile Bank branch managers Marie Wilkins and Nikki Bier­mann have a combined 47 years of bank­ing experience, are longtime residents of Ogemaw County and are active in the community. The pair will share their vast experience to help seminar attend­ees manage their finances with solutions that will save them time and money and “add convenience and peace of mind to their lives.”

The seminar will identify ways to easily save money and will introduce savings options that attendees can use to meet their personal goals. Upon comple­tion, attendees will be able to explain why it is important to save, determine goals for which they want to save and identify saving options and those which will help them reach their goals. The seminar will also show attendees how their money can grow and provide some important information about saving and investment products.
