Janet K. Rowley

Janet K. Rowley, 75, Houghton Lake, died Oct. 5, 2017, at home with her fam­ily by her side.

A private graveside service will be conducted. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel, handled ar­rangements.

She was born Sept. 15, 1942, in Flint, the daughter of Shellie and Aman­da (West) Thomas. She worked as a real­tor for many years.

She and Richard F. Rowley were united in marriage July 24, 1965, in Flint. The couple moved to Houghton Lake in 1990 from Clio, but had been vacation­ing at Houghton Lake since 1975. She was a member of the Houghton-Higgins Lake Elks, Houghton Lake Eagles, Pin­eview Highlands Golf Course League, Houghton Lake Garden Club and the Red Hats. She enjoyed boating and cooking, but most of all enjoyed spend­ing time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her par­ents; husband, Richard F. Rowley; sis­ters, Joan and Almedia; and brother, Bill.

Mrs. Rowley is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Steve) Rogers of Houghton Lake; two sons, Richard R. (Carla) Rowley of Houghton Lake and Rod (Stacy) Rowley of Houghton Lake; grandchildren, Lauren, Lacey (Damon), Ryan, Brett, Brianne and Rex; great- grandchildren, Damon, Emilynn and Deklyn; sister, Myrna (Art) McQueen; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
