Patricia Ann Comrie

Former Prudenville resident Patricia Ann Comrie, 82, Charlotte, died Oct. 9, 2017, surrounded by her family, at her home.

A service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Charlotte, with the Rev. Tim Olson of­ficiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Pray Funeral Home, Char­lotte. Interment will take place in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Lansing.

She was born April 7, 1935, in Okemos, the daughter of Archie and Merle (Remus) Piper. She received her nursing diploma from the Sparrow nurs­ing program and served as a surgical nurse for Sparrow Hospital for more than 20 years, retiring in 1987.

She lived a faith-filled life, always serving others and living by God’s Word. She was an active member of the Lu­theran Women’s Missionary League and Houghton Lake Ladies Aid. She loved to help with monthly community dinners at First Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking and especially time spent with family.

Preceding her in death were her hus­band, Jack Comrie; son, George Comrie; brother, Raymond Piper; and brother-in- law, Michael Borton.

Mrs. Comrie is survived by her sons, David Comrie and John (Kelly) Comrie; granddaughter, Nicole Quick; great- grandchildren, Tison, Brittani, Schay and Dayna; sister, Beverly Borton; daughter-in-law, Trixie Tanner; sisters- in-law, Mary Piper and Dorothy Rode­meyer; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Sasha.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, handled arrangements.
