Janice Joan Sprunger

Janice Joan Sprunger, 77, Roscom­mon, died Oct. 31, 2017, at The Light­house at Roscommon Health and Reha­bilitation Center, Roscommon.

A service was held Nov. 4 at Roscommon Free Methodist Church, Roscommon, with Pastor David S. Ste­vens officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Albion. Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon, handled arrangements.

She was born in Albion March 16, 1940, the daughter of Kenneth C. and Rachel Blanche (Juckett) Post. She had lived in Roscommon for two years, hav­ing moved from Lansing.

On June 4, 1959, she and John D. Sprunger were united in marriage in Al­bion. Her husband survives.

Mrs. Sprunger owned and operated a daycare in Lansing for more than 30 years. She collected porcelain dolls and enjoyed all crafts and cooking.

Preceding her in death were her par­ents; two sons, Ronnie and John Sprun­ger; two brothers, Sonny and James Post; and a sister, Elaine Post.

Surviving besides her husband, John, are two children, Don Sprunger of Houghton Lake and Tammy Bentley of Roscommon; daughter-in-law, Anna Sprunger of Cooks; nine grandchildren, Byron, Carissa, Jonathan, Lynde, Jim­my, Donald J., Rachel, Bobbie Jo and Michael; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, El­eanor Soltis of Albion.
