Lori Ann ‘Bugs’ Kenyon-Weinel

Lori Ann “Bugs” Kenyon-Weinel, 53, Lake City, died Dec. 1, 2017, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, with her family by her side.

A service was held Dec. 5 at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne VanDuinen of­ficiating. Burial was in Star City Cem­etery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

She was born May 19, 1964, in Grayling, the daughter of Forest and Marion (Rinckey) Kenyon. She grew up and spent most of her life in the Merritt area. She received her associate degree in liberal arts after her car accident in 1983. Her family took great pride in car­ing for her after her accident. It was her determination and faith in God that kept her going.

She enjoyed horses and going to ro­deos, where she would watch her father, brothers and nephews participate. She especially enjoyed going to Aaron Tip­pin concerts with her family.

Preceding her in death were her fa­ther, Forest Kenyon; and nephew, Tyler James Kenyon.

Surviving are her mother, Marion Kenyon of Lake City; sister, Vera (Bri­an) Craig of McAlester, OK; brothers, Lonnie (Joyce) Kenyon of Merritt, Larry (Pat) Kenyon of Lake City and Faron Kenyon of Lake City; several nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
