Harry E. Moskal


Harry E. Moskal, 88, Roscommon, died June 10, 2022, at Roscommon. 

A funeral will be held today (Thursday, June 16), at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, 36900 Schoenherr Rd., Sterling Heights, at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.

He was born June 24, 1933, in Detroit, to Joseph and Josephine (Klisz) Moskal. He married   Barbara Schaefer May 6, 1956, in Warren. The couple raised their children and lived in Madison Heights for 42 years before retiring and moving to Roscommon.

Mr. Moskal worked in sales for Sears, Roebuck & Co., for 43 years. He was a national corporate top salesman for many years at Sears, Roebuck & Co. He was a member of Warren-Sterling Heights Elks Lodge #2292 for 54 years, and was a past exalted ruler and led many charitable initiatives. Mr. Moskal also served in the U.S. Army. 

Mr. Moskal was amazingly devoted to his family. He was the best husband, son, father and grandfather. He spent many happy hours hunting, golfing, fishing with his grandchildren and working in the garden. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara (Schaefer) Moskal; children, Thomas (Julie) Moskal of Columbus, OH, Janis (Gary) Finney of Lake Orion, Patricia (Matthew) Hamel of Lake Orion, Sharon (David) Crall of Cincinnati, OH, and Richard (Mary) Moskal of Bay City; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Joseph, Irene Stack and Edward.
