HLHS students’ weekly schedule to change



Houghton Lake Community School Superintendent Dunsmore recently introduced a schedule change for the district’s schools. In addition to a later end time on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (3:25 p.m.), Wednesday’s schedule also changed. Household hazardous waste collection on Saturday



The semi-annual household hazardous waste collection will be held Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Roscommon County Road Commission. Seniors’ bike tour to be held Sept. 9



Seniors are encouraged to get their bikes ready for a bike tour of Lake James on Sept. 9. The five-mile route will begin at the dam on Silverwood St. at 10 a.m. The ride will provide seniors with an opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy homemade cookies at the rest stops.
