Blood drive surpasses goal



A Red Cross blood drive conducted at St. John Lutheran Church at Houghton Lake surpassed its goal of 51 units by producing 56 units of blood Sept. 23. Of 60 presenting donors, three were double red, seven could not give blood and six were new donors, according to Red Cross volunteer Violet Gonzales.
